A Little History
The attached file is an update of an account written by Vernon E. Cosslett, the first General Secretary of IFSM (then IFSEM). The original article is on page 3 of Advances in Imaging and Electron Physics v96 which was published in 1996. This book also describes the early years of many of IFSM's members and contains many photos of the pioneers of electron microscopy.
